Top Dream On Scholars complete 2nd year of summer program!

Jalia Tyner Gaston, Chaniya Gant and Nyandia Ballah finish the second summer of Aspire at Hathaway Brown School.

 

Five Dream On Students have completed two of the three summer school sessions offered by Hathaway Brown and University Schools.  When they complete the third and last session next summer, they will be prepared to attend the best high schools in Northeastern Ohio.  Congratulations for your hard work!!!

“DREAM CATCHES 3 POP UP’S, PITCHES 2 HITTER !!
There was joy on the sandlot as the Dream had an all time record 3 pop ups caught, an adventure coming with the Lords Prayer.
Our pitcher, Cam throws smoke, pop ups soar high in the sky
OUR FATHER WHO ART
IN HEAVEN
As the ball climbs higher . . .
HALLOWED BE THY
NAME THY KINGDOM
The crowd rises and my player realizes he is on stage and has to make a play . . .
COME THY WILL BE
DONE ON EARTH
AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
He circles beneath as the baseball reaches its peak, . .
GIVE US THIS DAY OUR
OUR DAILY BREAD
His breathing stops, eyes wide open, the ball begins it’s descent down to earth . . .
FORGIVE US OUR
TRESPASSES AS WE
FORGIVE THOSE WHO
TRESPASS AGAINST
US. LEAD US NOT
Auntie screams, “You can do it !” The ball picks up speed in the glaring sun . . .
INTO TEMPTATION
FOR THINE IS
The ball smacks into the players hand as he squeezes life out of the glove . . .
KINGDOM, THE GLORY
AND THE POWER
It’s a catch !! Both benches applaud and a smile covers that player’s face and a memory that will last . . .
FOREVER. AMEN
We got no hit and lost 8-0 (6 walks). So what ! It was a great day of pray and three blessings.
Still in 2nd place, living the DREAM.”
